Susan has been a registered Professional Engineer and Professional Geocientist in BC since 1989/1993 respectively. Her teaching responsibilities in the Geological Engineering Program include:

Susan has been an Instructor in the Geological Engineering Program at UBC since July 2012. Her prior work experience includes 15 years in the private sector (mainly with Klohn Crippen Berger, a Vancouver-based engineering consulting firm), followed by 12 years managing people and transportation infrastructure in the public sector (primarily with TransLink, transportation authority for the Metro Vancouver region). Susan has worked on diverse engineering projects in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Northwest Territories. She is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, both as a Professional Engineer (since 1989) and a Professional Geoscientist (since 1993).
